FAQS for the 2nd Annual Walking With Him Event

1. What is the date and time of the event?

The event will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am EST

2. Where is the park located?

Fox Point State Park is located in Wilmington, Delaware, USA. For GPS, the park recommends the use of this address: Lighthouse Rd, Wilmington, DE 19809. Please see the directions section for more information on how to get there.

3. Is there an entrance fee to the state park? 

Yes, there is an $8 entrance fee

4. Can I bring my own food and beverages to the event?

We will be providing light snacks, but yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and beverages. We will also have a roofed pavilion seating as well as an open designated picnic area for you to use.

5. Will there be restroom facilities at the state park?

Public Restrooms at the park will be closed, but there will be portable restrooms.

6. Are there any specific rules or regulations we need to follow at the state park?

Yes, there are Park rules and regulations, including restrictions on alcohol, pets, open fires,

and more. Please refer to the park's guidelines posted at the park or visit the website. (see below, at the end of this document)

7. What activities are planned for the event?

Interactive health session.
Stamina paced and based walking: 3 group walk options for Children/Elderly, Regular & active walkers
Light Snacks and fun and playtime with family and friends. You are welcome to stay back and explore the park. Pavilion A is reserved for our group for the whole day.

8. Where is parking available, and is it free of charge?

There is parking in our designated area (Pavilion A) and the surrounding area. Parking on the grounds is free.

9. What should I bring to the event?

We recommend wearing comfortable outdoor clothing, and comfortable walking shoes with a light jacket 

10. Is the event rain or shine?

11. Is there a designated area for children to play or activities for kids?
Yes, we will have a small playground with a big field for children.

12. What if I need medical attention?
We have medical personnel on ground that would be easily identified 

13. What If I didn’t order the apparel?
Please come as you are, you are also welcome to buy what is available or order as needed.
